Information Sessions Explore Opportunities in Automotive Field |
ROCHESTER, N.Y. ¨C Nov. 2, 2009 - Monroe Community College will hold a series of information sessions for its automotive program from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the following dates at MCC¡¯s Applied Technologies Center, 2485 W. Henrietta Road:

¡ö Wednesday, Dec. 16
¡ö Wednesday, Jan. 6
¡ö Wednesday, Jan. 13
Participants will learn about courses in the certificate and Associate of Applied Science degree programs, work experience requirements, college admissions process, financial aid and career opportunities. They will also tour the facility and have an opportunity to explore its advanced equipment. Prospective students in the automotive program are advised to attend an information session before registering for classes.
Interested individuals are encouraged to call (585) 292-3725 between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information and course descriptions, go to www.monroecc.edu/depts/auto/.

Transfiguration Bell Choir at Casa Larga Vineyards |
Come in and enjoy the sounds of the season as it fills our wine shop at Casa Larga Vineyards. Nothing sounds more like Christmas than ringing bells. Transfiguration Bell Choir will perform several of their most famous holiday pieces. The Bell Choir, under the direction of Pam McInerney, has been providing joyous pieces for the liturgies of the Church of the Transfiguration since 1995. The choir plays on a three-octave set of Schulmerich Handbells. The bell choir is comprised of nine high school students.

Garth Fagan Dance Home Season |
Soaring high and poised to celebrate four successful decades, Garth Fagan Dance lands at The Nazareth Arts Center for its 39th season. Program highlights includes MUDAN 175/39 a new piece set to music by the Grammy Award winning Ying Quartet as well as the revival of Landscape for 10, a jewel in Fagan’s repertoire set to the Brahms Violin Concerto. See the brilliance and intellect of Fagan’s inimitable choreography live and enjoy a transcendent experience!
December 2nd will be a pre-reception with various networks in the area.
December 3rd will be the young professionals after party. All young professionals/ students are welcome after the show!
December 4th will be the annual benefit night for the company where the audience is able to mingle with the dancers and choreographer along with a reception.

Peer Safety Patrol "
On Thursday The South Seneca Elementary School has a Safety Patrol Program that is designed to use patrol members as role models for younger children. They teach other students about safety on a peer-to-peer basis. The benefits of having a Safety Patrol Program range from leadership development and other aspects of personal growth, to developing a sense of volunteerism in service to others.
