Lightening Your Pack workshop
Whether you are an avid backpacker looking to lighten your load so you can move faster or go farther, or you are an aspiring backpacker and feeling overwhelmed by the thought of trudging through the woods with a crushing pack, come join Genesee Valley Chapter Member and Trip Leader Patrick Ciervo for an informal discussion on how to slim down your pack and hike and camp comfortably. She’ll cover such topics as the role pre-trip planning plays, how to dual-use gear to carry less and demo some options in the world of ultralight gear. Sponsored by the Genesee Valley Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club. Free Eisenhart Auditorium at the Rochester Museum and Science Center on East Ave. Rochester 6:15 PM - 7:15 PM www.adk-gvc.org
