Krossin' Keuka 2016
Registration is now open for the annual swim across Keuka Lake to be held July 30th, 2016, at Pt Nemo, Keuka College, Keuka Park, NY. Krossin' Keuka is a .67 mile FUNdraising swim across Keuka Lake, off the shore of Keuka College. Swimmers are escorted by paddlers and marine patrol and greeted with breakfast on the shore. We swim to support the Keuka Comfort Care Home through fund raising in the form of sponsorships. Participants must raise the $150 minimum sponsorship in addition to paying the $25 registration fee. All participants under age 18 must have a parent or guardian complete their registration and legal agreements. Finger Lakes Christian Fellowship Announces: Vacation Bible School: Proof Pirates Ahoy, Mateys! We’re looking for young lads and lassies to join us on a high-seas adventure at Proof Pirates VBS! We’ll be playing pirate games, creating buccaneer crafts, making friends and great memories - all while finding the treasure of God’s amazing grace. V.B.S. Coordinator, Kathy Martin says, “Kids today often believe that they must perform to receive God’s love. They believe that if they’re good then God will love them. If they’re bad then He will reject or punish them. At Proof Pirates, kids will learn the truth about God’s love and grace. You take awesome pictures at the Seneca Meadows Wetlands Preserve and we want to see them! From July 1 - August 1, 2016 Seneca Meadows is sponsoring an amateur, nature photo contest. All photos must be taken at the Seneca Meadows Wetlands Preserve and submitted on a disk or USB flash drive to Seneca Meadows, 1786 Salcman Road, Waterloo, NY 13165 before or on August 1, 2016. A cash prize of $100 will be awarded to the first place judged photo, as well as the photo that receives the popular vote.
