17th Annual Amateur Chefs' Night
Please join friends, fans and other supporters of the National Historic Landmark and Tiffany treasure -- the Community Preservation Committee's Willard Chapel in Auburn, NY -- for our signature fund raising event of the year! At Sacred Heart Church, 90 Melrose Road in Auburn, NY 13021 on Thursday, February 5 from 6-8pm, dozens of amateur chefs from the area will prepare and serve appetizers, soups and desserts along with a turkey carving station by Rich Knaul and a beef carving station by A.T. Tiffany Sunday Concert Series Presents: Paolo & Felice -- Musica Italia!
Per favore, join us at the Willard Chapel at 17 Nelson Street, Auburn NY 13021 on Sunday, February 22 at 2pm, for a heartfelt Italian-American concert by the ever-popular duo, Paolo & Felice! Dressed as traditional Italian troubadours, Paolo Saltarello, on vocals and mandolin, and Felice Mucedola, on accordion, will serenade you with traditional Italian-American melodies. Their program includes love songs in honor of Valentine’s Day. They will share stories behind some of these beautiful old songs. Paolo & Felice are well known throughout the region. This past year they sang “Happy Birthday” to Bishop Matano of Rochester. They also took part in the 2014 Galbani Cheese Italian Heritage and Food Festival in Buffalo, the second largest Italian street festival in the United States. Paolo has hosted Carosello Italiano, a local radio Italian-American show broadcast each Sunday morning, since 1979. He has performed at Rosalie’s Cucina in Skaneateles since it opened in 1995, and is the former Director of the IACC Coro Folcloristico, an Italian-American folk chorus in Rochester. There will be an intermission for refreshments. A fully accessible entrance is located off Seymour Street on the chapel’s north side. Tickets for this concert are $10 and available at the door. Children 12 and under are free. Proceeds benefit the Willard Memorial Chapel.
