Canal Crawl Paddling Poverty
Join us for a day of fun on Saturday, August 20, 2016. Paddle down the Cayuga/Seneca Canal from the Waterloo Lock to the Seneca Falls Community Center to benefit the Seneca County House of Concern. Like a walk-a-thon, kayakers and canoers will be raising money by collecting donations through pledges. It is similar in format to other physical activity based fundraising events but this low intensity, non-competitive event is ideal for a variety of ages. There will be a few stops along the way for snacks and a scavenger hunt to occupy your time as you leisurely make your way down the canal. When you disembark at the Seneca Falls Recreation Center there will be a reception with food, music, awards and raffles. For more info go to www.houseofconcern.org,Facebook page Canal Crawl 2016: Paddling Poverty or email director@houseofconcern.org.
