Hangar Theatre Presents: Clybourne Park by Bruce Norris
Pulitzer Prize winner Bruce Norris has written a cutting-edge, wickedly funny satire that digs into the heart of race and real estate in the suburbs of Chicago. Inspired by historical events, the play begins in 1959 when a white couple sells their home to the neighborhood's first black family, and thus sparks controversy. Fifty years later, the house is again changing hands, this time to a young white couple moving into the now black community. In a provocative salute to Lorraine Hansberry's classic piece "A Raisin in the Sun", this 2012 Tony Award winner for Best New Play now makes its regional premiere. Subscribe now to get the best seats, exchange privileges, discounts, and more! Visit our website at www.hangartheatre.org or call 607.273.8588. Single Tickets go on sale May 1, 2013.
