Musical Moments
11 September 2015 from 7:15-8:15 at the Geneva Public Library. Enjoy various local musician performances every 2nd Friday of the month. Free to the public with refreshments provided by the Friends of Geneva Library. This month will feature Kate (McGowan) Ferguson-Schmidl, soprano, with piano accompaniment by Stan Proffitt. They will perform songs in a wide range of musical styles including classical, contemporary, jazz, blues, pop, and pieces to honor those killed in the 9/11 tragedy. Guest musicians will join them on certain selections.

The AIDS Ride For Life is our 17th annual cycling event/fundraiser for the Southern Tier AIDS Program. It’s a blast! Recognize Women Making History: Kitty Lambert-Rudd
Join the National Park Service in welcoming LGBTQ activist Kitty Lambert-Rudd, and recognize women who are making history now! Kitty, whose marriage to her partner Cheryle Lambert-Rudd was the first same-sex marriage to occur in New York State, brings a wealth of experience in organizing for LGBTQ civil rights. She will speak at Women’s Rights National Historical Park in Seneca Falls on September 12th, and deliver two talks on her experiences. At 11:30 AM, she will present “How Women Made Marriage Equality Happen: New York and Nationally,” and at 3:30 PM, she will speak on “The Secret Power - Women and Grassroots Organizing.” Both talks are free and will take place at Women’s Rights National Historical Park, located at 136 Fall Street, Seneca Falls, NY 13148.

Living Healthy Chronic Disease Self Management Workshop to be Offered in Ovid
FREE Living Healthy Workshops are scheduled to be offered on Thursdays from Sept. 3-October 8 at the Edith B. Ford Memorial Library in Ovid. Living Healthy is a Chronic Disease Self-Management Program offered by Wayne CAP, RSVP Program, Seneca County Office of the Aging and Seneca County Health Department. The program is designed for those dealing with a chronic or limiting health condition. Participants learn self-management techniques and skills needed for the day to day management of their ongoing health condition. Sessions are held once a week for 2.5 hours for 6-sessions.
