PathStone Corporation, through its Enterprise Center, is offering classes for persons interested in starting or expanding a small business. The 11-week classes will be held on consecutive Thursday evenings at Seneca Falls Middle School on Troy Street in the Village of Seneca Falls. Classes begin on Thursday, September 26, 2013.

Class sessions address specific issues related to the startup and expansion of a small business with the goal of assisting entrepreneurs to develop a business plan to guide their decision-making. Participants will learn how to ask and answer critical questions such as:

How do I price my product?
Who is my target market?
What is my competition in my market area?
Is my business idea a good one?
What location will help me be successful?
What do I need to know about accounting, website and internet sales, reporting requirements?
How do I obtain financing?

The classes are taught by Jim Grillo, experienced entrepreneur and Professor of Business at Alfred State College. Jim brings both classroom and real business experience from having started and operated several successful small businesses. Class participation and interaction are encouraged.

Participants are required to register online by September 19th at www.pseci.org. A fee of $50 covers the cost of materials. Program graduates will be eligible to apply for flexible financing from the Enterprise Loan Funds.
