On Friday afternoon, State Police announced that Dante Taylor, age 32 of Rochester, is charged in the deaths of Terri Moulton, 54, and her daughter, Stacey Moulton, 30, at a neighbor's home on Route 14 in Sodus on Sunday afternoon.
According to police, Taylor killed Terri and Stacey Moulton when they went to check on the home for the owner, who was out of town.
Dante Taylor will be charged with two counts of first degree murder.. Police arrested Taylor on a parole violation in the City of Rochester on Thursday morning.
Taylor is an ex-convict who served two prison terms on felony robbery and drug charges. "I think anytime you have an individual that has shown a propensity to commit crimes puts him on our radar screen, yes," said Captain Scott Crosier of the New York State Police.
According to State Police, Taylor has friends and family living in Sodus and the surrounding area.
Taylor is currently being held in the Monroe County Jail without bail.
Calling hours for the two victims were held Friday in North Rose. The funeral is set for at 10 am Saturday.
Authorities say Taylor could be indicted as soon as Monday.
