Waterloo 81, Romulus-South Seneca 37
Romulus-South Seneca (0-14) will continue their quest for their first win of the season after falling yesterday 81-37 to Waterloo (3-13) in Section V boy’s basketball action. Waterloo’s Brad Steinruck shot for 17 points while Jonathan Jones tacked on an additional 15 points and Thomas France another 13. Alex Porter of Romulus-South had a 17-point game in their loss.
Geneva 90, Midlakes 38
Geneva (15-1) bested Midlakes (3-13) 90-38 yesterday in Section V boy’s basketball action. Shane Sweeney of Geneva led all scoring with a 19-point game while teammate Jordan Donahue added 17 additional points, Akia Jackson put up 13 points and Junior Sims tacked on 11 more points in the win. Midlakes’ Mason Jones had a 16-point game in the loss.
Newark 68, Marcus Whitman 40
Marcus Whitman (3-13) fell to Newark (12-4) 68-40 yesterday in Section V boy’s basketball action. Newark’s Phil Tack and teammate Micah Wright each shot for 12-points while Tyler Collins added another 10. Marcus Whitman’s Tyler Rohrback led all scoring with an 18-point game and Matt Hall added 10 more points in the eventual loss.
Mynderse 66, Penn Yan 45
Yesterday in Section V boy’s basketball action Mynderse (11-5) topped Penn Yan (7-9) 66-45. Mynderse’s Luke Ruddy led all scoring with a 27-point game while Brandon Passalacqua put up another 18 points in the win. Penn Yan Eric Johnson had a nine point game in the loss.
Wayne 78, Palmyra-Macedon 55
Wayne (14-2) beat Palmyra-Macedon (5-11) 78-55 yesterday in Section V boy’s basketball action. Wayne’s Tre LaMora shot for 24 total points while Ben Bobo added an additional 22 and Mike Hollenbeck another 10. Palmyra-Macedon’s Mitchell Crist led all scoring with 27 total points.
Clyde-Savannah 66, Gananda 44
Clyde-Savannah (16-1) stayed hot as they picked up their sixteenth win of the season yesterday as they topped Gananda (8-9) 66-44 in Section V boy’s basketball action. Clyde-Savannah’s Tom Kanaley shot for 17 total points with eight rebounds while Joemaine Bogan put up 11 points, Patrick Harper added 10 more points and Kam DiSanto chipped in another 10 points with five blocks in the win.
Naples 54, Dundee 36
Naples (14-2) bested Dundee (9-7) 54-36 yesterday in Section V boy’s basketball action.
