Those hoping for a white Christmas may get their wish as the FingerLakes1.com Weather Center is calling for up to 2 inches of snow overnight on Christmas Eve. But, if the forecast holds up, the real snow is coming just a day or two late. Below is the forecast for the next few days after Christmas when a winter storm is expected to drop over a foot of snow on the Finger Lakes region and more possibly in areas impacted by lake effect snow off Lake Ontario. WEDNESDAY Overcast with a chance of snow in the afternoon. Fog early. High of 30F with a windchill as low as 9F. Winds from the North at 5 to 10 mph shifting to the East in the afternoon. Chance of snow 70% with accumulations up to 1 in. possible. WEDNESDAY NIGHT Overcast with snow. Fog overnight. Low of 25F with a windchill as low as 14F. Breezy. Winds from the ENE at 15 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 90% with accumulations up to 11 in. possible. THURSDAY Overcast with a chance of snow and rain showers. Fog early. High of 30F with a windchill as low as 14F. Breezy.
