The victim's name in Saturday's fatal hit and run in Geneva has been released:

Just after 10:00 am Saturday, Geneva Police responded to the area of South Main Street & Pulteney Park for a reported assault on a female. It was learned at that time that the lone assault suspect had attacked and choked the victim female and fled the area in a vehicle. The female victim was not injured in the attack and has been identified as Geneva City Councilor Jackie Augustine. She was jogging along Main Street near Pulteney Park when she was attacked.
Chief Jeff Trickler realeased this statement:
“It was because of the cooperative efforts and assistance of both the witnesses and surrounding law enforcement agencies that we were able to take this dangerous criminal into custody. Because of this random violence and recklessness perpetrated by him we not only have a victim of a violent assault, but also the tragic and senseless loss of life. I commend my Officers and those of the assisting agencies who worked quickly to bring this case to a close. My thoughts are with both the victims and their families.”
The name of the man killed has not been released.
Foulkrod was out on bail following his arrested earlier this summer for burglary, criminal posssession of a weapon, sexual abuse, and unlawful imprisonment. Waterloo village Police say Foulkrod broke into a West Main Street Home on July 12th armed with two daggers while the victim was sleeping. He held the person down and forcibly had sexual contact with that person. Seneca County District Attorney Barry Porsch says the Foulkrod was recently indicted by a grand jury and is scheduled to be arraigned Monday afternoon in Seneca County Court.

A Waterloo man has been arrested and charged with 2nd-degree murder following a hit-and-run accident that left an elderly Geneva man dead.
Police say 27-year-old Michael Foulkrod of Waterloo was fleeing the scene of a reported assault when his vehicle allegedly hit and killed a 77-year-old man walking on the sidewalk late Saturday morning..
At the time of the incident, police were reporting to the the area of South Main Street and Pulteney Park for a reported assault on a female.
According to WHAM, Police are crediting witnesses with helping them to track down Foulkrod.

A person was struck and killed around 10:15 Saturday morning on Elm Street in Geneva by a vehicle that sped from the scene of the accident. Now, Greg Cotterill reports that police have located a white cargo van believed to be the same vehicle that struck a pedestrian earlier today.
The van was found at a home on Hecker Road in the town of Waterloo.
Police have not yet released the names of the driver of the van, owner of the van, or the person killed in the accident. ORIGINAL POST 12/15/12 @ 11:31 am
A person was struck and killed around 10:15 Saturday morning on Elm Street in Geneva by a vehicle that sped from the scene of the accident.
The Geneva Police Department and the Ontario County Sheriff's Department are searching for a white cargo van with a ladder rack, but no ladder on top. It is believed that vehicle was involved in the accident.
They say a white male was driving the van which left the downtown Geneva area at a high rate of speed after hitting a pedestrian.
The identity of the individual who was hit and killed has not yet been released.
