On Friday night in Ontario, the Mynderse Academy boys varsity basketball team's 47 game Finger Lakes league win streak came to an end at the hands of the Wayne Eagles. On Tuesday night in Seneca Falls, another streak ended.

The Geneva Panthers, led by DeSales transfer Junior Sims, left Arthur L. Baker Gymnasium with a 59-50 victory on Tuesday night. The Mynderse loss was their first at home in 30 games.

Sims, who was making his season debut for the Panthers, transferred from DeSales over the summer and dominated the interior with an 18 point, 10 rebound performance. His first basket as a Geneva Panther came early in the 1st quarter when he hoisted a three-pointer from the top of the key that found nothing but net.

Jordan Donahue hit four key three-pointers for Geneva and finished with 14. Steven Dolgos hit three from beyond the arc, finishing with eleven. Senior point guard Shane Sweeney finished with 7.

For The Blue Devils, Brandon Passalacqua led the way with 15 points. The Mynderse big men also played well. Luke Ruddy finished with 13 points and 12 rebounds while senior center Connor Miller had 10 points and 9 boards.

Mynderse drops to 1-2 after losing their last two games while Geneva moves to a perfect 4-0 mark to start the season.
