Police: Drunk driver hits 8 parked cars in Waterloo

On Saturday, November 24th, 2012, at about 12:31 AM, the Waterloo Police Department, Waterloo Fire Department, Seneca County Sheriff's Office, Seneca Falls Police Department and The New York State Police responded to a report of a hit and run accident on East Elizabeth Street where a male driver fled from the scene after hitting eight parked vehicles.
During the investigation into the accident by the Waterloo Police, it was determined the driver of the vehicle was Paul J. Kesterston, age 23, of 1358 Hecker Road, Waterloo, NY 13165. Kesterson was located by NYS Police in the area of Hecker Road and transported back to the scene where he was detained by the Waterloo Police Department. At the conclusion of the investigation, Kesterson was arrested for driving while intoxicated, driving with a .08% blood alcohol content, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, unreasonable speed, failed to keep right, unsafe backing, driving without a license and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Kesterson was arraigned in the Village of Waterloo Court and held in the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $5,000.00 bail. He is to reappear at a later date to answer to the charges.
