Blevins (24) of (Elizabeth Crossing) 41 Church Street, apartment A-3, Waterloo, NY 13165 for felony criminal contempt, felony reckless endangerment 1st degree, felony assault 2nd degree and felony attempted assault 2nd degree. The Waterloo Police Department along with the Seneca Falls Police Department, Seneca County Sheriff's Office and the NYSP responded to the above address for a report of a male subject with a hatchet that may have cut a females neck during a domestic altercation. After further investigation with witnesses and the 28 year old female victim, it was determined that during the altercation Blevins allegedly cut the victims neck with a hatchet, struck her on the face with a wooden bar stool, threatened her with a kitchen knife, swung a baseball bat at her, threatened to burn the apartment down and bit her twice while there was an order of protection in effect. During the altercation the female was able to disarm Blevins and restrain him with the help of a neighbor until a call was made to 911. Shortly after the call was made to 911, Blevins was able to free himself and fled the scene as police were arriving. He was taken into custody a few blocks from the scene without incident. The female victim was treated on scene by Finger Lakes Ambulance for a small laceration on her neck from the hatchet, injury to her nose from the bar stool and the two bite markes on her leg. Blevins was arraigned in the Village of Waterloo Court and held in the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $25,000.00 bail $50,000.00 bond. He is to reappear at a later date to answer to these charges. Originally Posted on 09/28/2012 @ 6:38 am: |
