Early Friday morning, the Clyde-Galen Fire Department responded to a truck fire on the New York State Thruway near mile marker 318. Firefighters from Stations 1 and 3 arrived to find the trailer fully engulfed in flames.
Chief C. Haig took command, with crews from Engine 903 quickly dousing the blaze. Additional units assisted with the extensive overhaul, ensuring the fire was fully extinguished within the trailer’s cargo area.
Once the fire was out, the scene was handed over to the New York State Police and Thruway Authority. No injuries were reported in the incident.
